  • Paul Akin, dean of the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism and Ministry at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Kentucky, has been promoted to provost and senior vice president for academic administration there.
  • Andreas Cangellaris, vice chancellor for academic affairs and provost and M. E. Van Valkenburg Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, has been chosen as founding president of NEOM University, in Saudi Arabia.
  • Mung Chiang, John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering and executive vice president for strategic initiatives at Purdue University, in Indiana, has been promoted to president there.
  • Amy Dittmar, senior vice provost for academic and budgetary affairs and professor of economics and finance at the University of Michigan, has been selected as provost at Rice University, in Texas.
  • Corbin Hoornbeek, vice president for advancement at Azusa Pacific University, in California, has been appointed president of the University of Northwestern–St. Paul, in Minnesota.
  • Ken Hush, interim president of Emporia State University, in Kansas, has been named to the job on a permanent basis.
  • John Selmon, provost/executive vice president at Muskegon Community College, in Ohio, has been appointed president there.
  • Christopher D. Spradlin, executive vice president and provost at Edison State Community College, in Ohio, has been selected as president there.
